Watched 100 Meters, the animation movie about running. Really cool animation using rotoscoping, nice theme, but i didn't like the ending as much.

I logged it at Letterboxd

but here is my review:

love the animation with rotoscoping. That was my first time watching an animation like that. I like the theme of running, chasing passion, devoting your life to a craft or a goal, and putting an obsessive amount of effort. I know the ending is an artistic choice of emphasizing the journey is more important than result. But it was still unsatisfying, i think i wanted to see the payoff, of all that effort/obsession, i wanted to see the character reach their goal and validate that their effort matter.

i think showing the end result, and showing how the characters come to term with the result would be much more impactful rather than just cutting it off to a black screen a moment before the results shown.
